Tips for success on the AP Exam from Ms. Kaz:
- Utilize all resources at your disposal even when they are not specifically assigned in class (e.g., sign up for Khan Academy and use it throughout the entire course, read information on the same content from more than one text, utilize the links on this website and others). Time IS built into this course for students to review on their own throughout the year in the way that they find is most suitable to their learning style. Students must take advantage of it!
- Do NOT wait until the end of the year to start reviewing!
- When utilizing video resources (Crash Course, Khan Academy, Hip Hughes, etc.) TAKE NOTES. Even if the notes are very brief, you are far more likely to remember the information if you write it down.
- Form study groups.
- Record (and conceptualize) the content in multiple ways: make graphs/tables that allow for easy comparison, create timelines to understand cause & effect and contextualization, complete SPICE-T charts for each civilization/time period to keep in your binder, etc.
- Come to me with any and all questions. I am ALWAYS available to help and support you any way that I can!
